Rene-CityMaaS.io: Yeah, thank you so much for having me and on again. And I really enjoyed the last time when I spoke to you guys were sitting mouse was a big vision.

5
00:00:42.000 --> 00:00:54.570
Rene-CityMaaS.io: thing this time when, when I come back I like to show you the progress that sits analysis may since then and also some of the products and services that we think that will help the people with disability and their friends, family to live more

6
00:00:55.650 --> 00:00:57.300
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Improve accessible life.

7
00:00:58.020 --> 00:01:07.830
Debra Ruh: Oh well said. Do you mind just telling the guest in case they didn't see the other episode, tell them who you are and tell them about the program. Let's just reintroduce everybody to you.

8
00:01:08.190 --> 00:01:24.030
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Show. So my name is Ronnie and I'm co co founder six MS CC Mars actually was born in 2018 September 2018 summertime, where, you know, we have these visions of

9
00:01:26.370 --> 00:01:29.790
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Various different dots joining together, I must say that

10
00:01:30.840 --> 00:01:33.870
Rene-CityMaaS.io: That year was a very sad day of my life and I

11
00:01:34.950 --> 00:01:40.740
Rene-CityMaaS.io: If you like I have was a sudden a perfectly, if you like, where I lost my second child, and my grandma.

12
00:01:41.400 --> 00:02:00.870
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Passed away the same time. And I realized live in the corporate life wasn't really the life I wanted to fulfill when and and I really want to do something that actually means something and and that's where I sit, the mass was born. Then when we witness my mother in law's a foster children's

13
00:02:02.100 --> 00:02:09.720
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Difficulties of get around cities get around places because he's on wheelchairs and there's many kind of lack of

14
00:02:10.200 --> 00:02:22.590
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Relevant information for for him and for the carrier, my, my mother in law to be able to plan journeys and and go from A to B example. So we're looking to that difficulties around

15
00:02:23.850 --> 00:02:31.260
Rene-CityMaaS.io: You know, getting around cities and getting right informations to be the do that and there's some information there, but not in a very

16
00:02:31.680 --> 00:02:38.640
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Good and scalable way that you know that that can can extend it to anywhere in the global platform.

17
00:02:39.210 --> 00:02:48.870
Rene-CityMaaS.io: And that's where we set out divisions of actually to help improve accessible travel that Ben right back then is about making people making it

18
00:02:49.740 --> 00:03:01.200
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Easier for people with disabilities and they carry us to go from A to B. That was a simple vision. But when we're looking to disempower vision but it's in fact it's not so simple. There's so many part that we learn

19
00:03:01.860 --> 00:03:10.710
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Since 2018. It was incredible journey where we learned. Actually, to be able to plan that journey for me to be

20
00:03:11.520 --> 00:03:17.160
Rene-CityMaaS.io: You got to have the right information to be able to Planet and at the right time to plan it

21
00:03:17.700 --> 00:03:26.700
Rene-CityMaaS.io: And with that information at the right time. Right. Place the right time, but in a way that the right form that can be communicated to users and needs it the most.

22
00:03:27.360 --> 00:03:37.770
Rene-CityMaaS.io: So we realized. Those are three major obstacle for us to be able to achieve that vision. So we start, you know, starting a lot of research.

23
00:03:38.400 --> 00:03:55.110
Rene-CityMaaS.io: With charities, I do not. Tricia and we are collaborating with Academy universities, research institutes, like we're now universities, universities, sorry, and University of bath is also part of our ecosystem. Now, to provide can technical support as well as research assistance.

24
00:03:56.280 --> 00:04:09.330
Rene-CityMaaS.io: So based on our research and and and I'll finding from from those studies that we start to kind of pan out, really, if you want to achieve that simple vision, the beginning we realize

25
00:04:09.960 --> 00:04:18.480
Rene-CityMaaS.io: We have to solve this problems to actually really seen the real world impact not just travel for me to be but also providing my information.

26
00:04:19.470 --> 00:04:25.080
Rene-CityMaaS.io: At the right time in right form that can be disseminated to the users they needs it the most.

27
00:04:25.680 --> 00:04:34.380
Rene-CityMaaS.io: So, so that's where our system is, you know, since 2018 rejoin number integrators including Microsoft API for good.

28
00:04:34.800 --> 00:04:51.870
Rene-CityMaaS.io: We joined. We've been selected for Linda Mae offices business growth program, but they will deliver by Linda and partners. We were selected for investment program by sent a foundry, which is which is Chicago based us Chicago based Investment Program. When I was in the US.

29
00:04:52.890 --> 00:04:55.050
Rene-CityMaaS.io: December time last year.

30
00:04:56.400 --> 00:05:07.230
Rene-CityMaaS.io: And we, you know, would be working with University of services for instance of working with actually providing placement opportunities for university students

31
00:05:08.010 --> 00:05:18.510
Rene-CityMaaS.io: As well as kind of collaborating with professors to use cutting edge to to achieve that visions that where we originally set up to achieve in 2018 and

32
00:05:19.860 --> 00:05:38.250
Rene-CityMaaS.io: And since then. Since then, we have been through quite a lot of iterations and I say for our platform which we have gone now gone live in August. And there's many things has happened as well in this during this time between

33
00:05:39.870 --> 00:05:42.990
Rene-CityMaaS.io: 20 and 2018 to to

34
00:05:44.160 --> 00:05:48.120
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Do now is out to achieve those visions, we need to segregate them.

35
00:05:49.320 --> 00:05:51.180
Rene-CityMaaS.io: And then bring them together in the end.

36
00:05:52.740 --> 00:05:56.430
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Hence we put we have since then provide

37
00:05:57.810 --> 00:06:05.670
Rene-CityMaaS.io: You know, like platform to provide real time accessibility inflation local localized access information a global platform. I

38
00:06:05.910 --> 00:06:11.880
Rene-CityMaaS.io: In all the major cities will have access to that information on the places of interest based on the individual needs.

39
00:06:12.150 --> 00:06:24.300
Rene-CityMaaS.io: I have to make the data is not perfect yet but actually we got quite a lot of data on mucci accessibility perspective what we like to do to be able to provide visually impaired hearing impaired cognitive impairments.

40
00:06:25.350 --> 00:06:38.880
Rene-CityMaaS.io: And I realized that, you know, we all realize it's a complex merger and there's many different degrees of people with disabilities and different type of needs as well. They might be conflicting, but we are doing our very best to to provide that

41
00:06:40.020 --> 00:06:41.490
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Extend the impacts of

42
00:06:42.870 --> 00:06:48.090
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Which accessibility vision visioning murdering paper and pen comments and payments.

43
00:06:49.170 --> 00:06:49.620
Rene-CityMaaS.io: So,

44
00:06:49.770 --> 00:07:00.000
Debra Ruh: No, I know Antonia wants to ask your question, but I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt. Go ahead and finish your, your thought and then let's let Antonio, ask your question to, if you don't mind.

45
00:07:00.570 --> 00:07:08.100
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Yeah, just to wrap up. So we provide that, you know, access to this information we're probably navigation is not perfect, but actually

46
00:07:08.430 --> 00:07:15.960
Rene-CityMaaS.io: It has some degrees. I'll help if you like listening to change and less working and things like that for people with disabilities and and carriers.

47
00:07:16.590 --> 00:07:31.680
Rene-CityMaaS.io: We have web accessibility plugins that to help people with different impairments in July with our platform, which was part that I talked about in terms of enabling people's experience digital interactions with the products and services that we have and

48
00:07:32.910 --> 00:07:40.110
Rene-CityMaaS.io: We were also providing white label mobility platform for public bus company in Portugal to

49
00:07:40.500 --> 00:07:49.680
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Enable them to discover to real time bus locations and and help tackling transport poverty in the kind of suburban rural areas.

50
00:07:50.100 --> 00:08:01.170
Rene-CityMaaS.io: And in that platform we integrate our code, the technology which is a UX UI manipulations of predicting human Linton, and that was also a part of

51
00:08:01.650 --> 00:08:15.720
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Information simulation technologies that we're developing and continue developing and we have a PhD funding to to do for your research on that to to to to to push out as a product on his own story that that was a

52
00:08:17.160 --> 00:08:27.240
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Long, you should actually might remember I was just thinking back in 2008 and what's happened like it's been like more than two years into memory my head for sure.

53
00:08:28.980 --> 00:08:32.910
Antonio Santos: You have done a lot of research, definitely.

54
00:08:33.960 --> 00:08:43.350
Antonio Santos: Something that we are we are we observe that there's been a lot of investment and planning on smart cities all over the look. No.

55
00:08:44.460 --> 00:08:48.630
Antonio Santos: Later discussions are to improve live in cities have improved sustainability.

56
00:08:49.770 --> 00:08:59.940
Antonio Santos: But sometimes we don't we don't see that conversation driving into direction of making cities more accessible and and considering that we know that in many countries.

57
00:09:00.270 --> 00:09:10.950
Antonio Santos: aging population is a well known issue for decades is not something. Oh, oh, publishing is aging. We know that's probably since the 60s, 70s.

58
00:09:11.550 --> 00:09:20.970
Antonio Santos: But probably public bathrooms, not paying attention enough. So what we need to cut down on your research in your experience, what we need to consider today.

59
00:09:21.570 --> 00:09:30.720
Antonio Santos: When we are looking at this big market, the products. How can we find ways where we don't end up in a trap of creating things that are not accessible.

60
00:09:31.440 --> 00:09:43.110
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Yeah, that's a really good question your and your observations of small city project is like the same as mine when I heard smart cities that the next word will be sustainability.

61
00:09:43.410 --> 00:09:55.080
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Although sustainability can mean people equality as well, you know, in the UN STG goes to 17 of them actually I think seven out of 17 of them actually mentioned people with disabilities, where they

62
00:09:55.680 --> 00:10:10.020
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Take some other is 1111. Yeah. So, but, you know, there you go. So it's, it's, you know, it's mentioned in contact transportations measuring in the index the quality, the rights and and housing is mentioned in all aspects of basic human

63
00:10:11.430 --> 00:10:22.680
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Rights right but yet again, the kind of small city projects, as I mentioned, you know, efficient efficiency, energy efficient.

64
00:10:24.090 --> 00:10:25.920
Rene-CityMaaS.io: You know, autonomous vehicles.

65
00:10:27.060 --> 00:10:38.220
Rene-CityMaaS.io: You know, flying drones delivering goods that those are great stuff to solve the human like more than lives living, that's fantastic needed my think

66
00:10:38.640 --> 00:10:44.220
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Accessibility and still kind of afterthoughts even don't do our campaigns, you know, there are clean.

67
00:10:44.850 --> 00:10:57.360
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Business benefits. So putting accessible. It's in the planning stage were building it in so that doesn't cost you more. The government audience to choose more later on to kind of retrofitted sometimes not even possible right

68
00:10:58.500 --> 00:11:02.850
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Whether it's a business with costs and benefits or whether it's physically not possible.

69
00:11:04.020 --> 00:11:18.060
Rene-CityMaaS.io: So it is frustrating that even though the aging population, as you mentioned, is known issue. Everybody knows that in some part of your life in my life I've been disabled denied. Just don't know when yet I could be an accident.

70
00:11:19.110 --> 00:11:25.830
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Then, you know, I often lost my freedom to move freely and and and all of these things are

71
00:11:26.940 --> 00:11:33.060
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Pointing to the right direction. So awareness of access, but the importance of accessibility.

72
00:11:34.110 --> 00:11:40.410
Rene-CityMaaS.io: But I think for me the obstacles of actually making a more systematic way is

73
00:11:42.150 --> 00:11:59.520
Rene-CityMaaS.io: If, if it's already addressed by many campaign side, you know, developer 500 people you know people like Carolyn's bringing all the decision makers of those smart city projects, for example, into the pictures of people with disabilities. Now,

74
00:12:00.720 --> 00:12:16.860
Rene-CityMaaS.io: There was two obstacles in my mind. One is actually wherever they might be aware of this need to do it and and and awareness and to do it. But then there's also obstacles of

75
00:12:18.300 --> 00:12:20.400
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Costs And Benefits business case.

76
00:12:22.710 --> 00:12:30.600
Rene-CityMaaS.io: You know, it's a it's a must. Compared to this nice half kind of a decisions that they they having

77
00:12:31.200 --> 00:12:45.450
Rene-CityMaaS.io: The conversation during the meetings right to to make those decisions. So it's it's really, it's a for me. I think the more campaigns like valuable five injected into a level of decision making, the more awareness that

78
00:12:46.470 --> 00:12:46.860
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Those

79
00:12:48.240 --> 00:12:59.100
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Accessibility is not after thoughts out there, the higher chance of smart cities can be included as part of, like, you know, I can say this can be included as part of the smart city for sure.

80
00:13:01.560 --> 00:13:02.910
Rene-CityMaaS.io: I wish it could be simpler.

81
00:13:04.080 --> 00:13:09.090
Debra Ruh: I agree. And you know the when you, when we talk about smart cities.

82
00:13:10.710 --> 00:13:16.410
Debra Ruh: I, you know, we need to really think about what smart cities mean you know a word that we also have used

83
00:13:16.770 --> 00:13:29.400
Debra Ruh: Here on access chat is smart communities. But how can you have a smart city if large parts of the population, you know, can't navigate the city properly. And so how can you have a smart city if

84
00:13:30.270 --> 00:13:46.860
Debra Ruh: We don't have the ability to make sure that the crosswalks have enough time for each of us to get a crossed, you know, or that accessible transportation and all the different things. And I know that you're trying to make sure that people with disabilities know

85
00:13:47.010 --> 00:13:54.900
Debra Ruh: When a restaurant is accessible. When a business is successful when transportation successful. And if you need accommodations. How'd you get to that.

86
00:13:55.170 --> 00:14:04.170
Debra Ruh: How have the businesses responded to what you're doing, have been they they've been supportive. Have they been wanting to provide you the information or understand why.

87
00:14:04.410 --> 00:14:06.690
Debra Ruh: They need the information so that people

88
00:14:07.080 --> 00:14:07.650
Debra Ruh: Can

89
00:14:07.830 --> 00:14:19.560
Debra Ruh: You know, you know, give them their business. And I would also be curious about how is coven 19 impacting all the stuff you're doing it seems like your work is more important in during coven

90
00:14:20.400 --> 00:14:21.690
Debra Ruh: But I'll let you

91
00:14:21.750 --> 00:14:22.770
Debra Ruh: Tell us if that's true.

92
00:14:23.580 --> 00:14:32.400
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Yeah, I know it's a, it's a, it's an interesting question. So I think all the businesses we spoke to in terms of bringing their accessibility information of the

93
00:14:33.060 --> 00:14:50.400
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Of their property of the location of the business into our platform are very supportive. So they you know they they they understand automatically there will be, you know, a sense of agreement. You're right, it needs to be accessible this kind of information is to be out there.

94
00:14:52.260 --> 00:15:09.810
Rene-CityMaaS.io: And actually, you know, joining us and and and and putting the effort in in terms of, you know, measuring the Rams or the handles the height and also the kind of bathrooms dimensions of the bathroom accessible bathrooms. They have etc.

95
00:15:11.010 --> 00:15:11.460
Rene-CityMaaS.io: It is

96
00:15:12.720 --> 00:15:22.290
Rene-CityMaaS.io: It does take a little bit of commitment for them to to be able to provide information and and sometimes some organization not able to carry through some organizations.

97
00:15:22.770 --> 00:15:37.800
Rene-CityMaaS.io: A bit slow or, you know, just going to leave it as it is. So from that perspective, you know that there is, there are responsible organizations that have the tenacity to carry through what they believe in what they're saying, for sure.

98
00:15:39.030 --> 00:15:47.850
Rene-CityMaaS.io: But does a long way to go. I think and I think I think every organization should really be behind what we doing providing voluntary, you know,

99
00:15:48.300 --> 00:15:58.200
Rene-CityMaaS.io: That kind of information for people in our platform able to visit. They are they are businesses and the reasons why the best business. The business because they you know they have money to spend. Right.

100
00:15:58.710 --> 00:16:13.350
Rene-CityMaaS.io: They can go interact with your business right they go go shopping. Your shops and then, you know, timing your restaurants in and have coffee No cafes. I mean, why would you want to. It's just for me. I just mind boggling. It's about, you know, it can a human to

101
00:16:14.610 --> 00:16:21.540
Debra Ruh: Sometimes they don't know. And then what you're doing is actually bringing them access to a whole new you know client base.

102
00:16:21.720 --> 00:16:29.760
Debra Ruh: People you use your business. You had mentioned the valuable 500 and we're big supporters of Caroline her birthday, she just had a birthday this week.

103
00:16:30.060 --> 00:16:30.330
But

104
00:16:31.650 --> 00:16:48.780
Debra Ruh: And one thing that we've talked about is, you know, it's interesting how competition is such a motivator for businesses. So we noticed that when our sin young and Accenture joined the valuable 500 their competitors. A more interested in this.

105
00:16:48.990 --> 00:16:49.590
Debra Ruh: And so

106
00:16:49.830 --> 00:16:54.420
Debra Ruh: I was just wondering if you're using that as you're talking to these businesses.

107
00:16:54.630 --> 00:17:07.350
Debra Ruh: And letting me know. Well, you're a pizza parlor, but just let you know these other pizza parlors down the street, they've done this. I was just wondering if you've used that. And I know that Antonio has a question. After that, but let me turn it over to you.

108
00:17:08.220 --> 00:17:10.020
Rene-CityMaaS.io: That that's a good tactic, but

109
00:17:10.110 --> 00:17:16.530
Rene-CityMaaS.io: I have honestly not use that tactic before, but I'm I may take the on that for sure. Thank you for the tape.

110
00:17:17.100 --> 00:17:27.210
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Another way of goal route about doing that in a more scalable in a short time frame for us is using possible technologies to solve that problem.

111
00:17:28.020 --> 00:17:35.670
Rene-CityMaaS.io: So what in our platform as well. Normally we rely on businesses provide that kind of accessibility information of their businesses onto our platform.

112
00:17:36.150 --> 00:17:44.670
Rene-CityMaaS.io: But we also use machine learning to assess the places of interest on the map in terms of their probability of accessible and

113
00:17:45.270 --> 00:17:58.440
Rene-CityMaaS.io: And and actually our motto has you know 70% accuracy at the moment. So it's you know it's 70% of what we're saying is accessible, it's, it's a, it's a, it's right.

114
00:17:59.040 --> 00:18:07.680
Rene-CityMaaS.io: And compared to kind of power. So we also use crowdsource confirmation as well for my community if the community has missed it visited that

115
00:18:08.130 --> 00:18:17.010
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Places venture saying you know it is accessible. It's not that will continue to helping our, our, our algorithm to predict the web accessibility.

116
00:18:17.280 --> 00:18:26.580
Rene-CityMaaS.io: And it's improving to 73% and we're looking to improve to 8% you know ultimately we want to be hundred percent for sure that without relying

117
00:18:27.240 --> 00:18:35.460
Rene-CityMaaS.io: A lot of a huge amount of effort. Can you imagine that I started by six hours trying to tackle this global problem and trying to get every single business, give me information.

118
00:18:35.850 --> 00:18:50.280
Rene-CityMaaS.io: That's almost like you but if I spend 1000 years I might not even achieve that vision right so what, what's this massive vision is grand but yet we want to try to use technology as much as possible to Caray that scalable impact.

119
00:18:52.500 --> 00:18:54.480
Rene-CityMaaS.io: But to answer your questions actually.

120
00:18:54.540 --> 00:19:09.930
Debra Ruh: Know that was an excellent. That was good. I thought that was a wonderful point because because artificial intelligence, machine learning, it has to learn. So I love that you're using crowdsourcing to increase the efficiency. The efficiency, Antonio, I know you had a question.

121
00:19:09.930 --> 00:19:22.020
Antonio Santos: So my question goes into into data and quality of data. We know that. And in the past many people try to find ways, let's say, to crowd source.

122
00:19:23.100 --> 00:19:34.830
Antonio Santos: data integration two topics related with with mobility, but those parties. They were life for a couple of years and then people lost the energy or companies last funding.

123
00:19:35.190 --> 00:19:46.620
Antonio Santos: So, and not all governments provide that data available on public transport. So I know data is a problem. So, how

124
00:19:47.070 --> 00:19:54.090
Antonio Santos: What are the issues that you have with that and how are you fighting against that. How can you

125
00:19:54.660 --> 00:20:06.840
Antonio Santos: Get Data that make your app more reliable. How do you engage with organizations that might have the data somewhere hidden somewhere, without being used. I'll do you actually I'll do for that problem.

126
00:20:07.500 --> 00:20:09.000
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Now, that's, that's a great question.

127
00:20:09.090 --> 00:20:10.260
Antonio Santos: And Tony, what is

128
00:20:10.290 --> 00:20:28.620
Rene-CityMaaS.io: This such a great questions and and and and you're right, data is taking that data is the currency right now in this modern life where you know more data, the more insights we have, you know, the more helpful to businesses and individuals. Right. And in terms of

129
00:20:30.000 --> 00:20:37.980
Rene-CityMaaS.io: You mentioned about charities and projects to crowdsource data right and the quality of data and and

130
00:20:40.110 --> 00:20:46.710
Rene-CityMaaS.io: And they run out of steam in a couple years just because there's no funding, they're all like you know this too much, but

131
00:20:47.100 --> 00:20:57.000
Rene-CityMaaS.io: requires huge amount of effort and resources to be able to ensure the data quality data is is usable greater impact they set out to correct right and

132
00:20:57.870 --> 00:21:11.280
Rene-CityMaaS.io: And that's why system is really truly believe we need to have a scalable model, we need to have a sustainable and scalable model to create an impact that the ground visions that we set out to create in 2018

133
00:21:12.660 --> 00:21:28.320
Rene-CityMaaS.io: That you know not only rely on crowdsourcing data or cloud. Cloud confirming data, but also using data whatever data we can improve in using at the moment to to make a prediction.

134
00:21:29.370 --> 00:21:42.780
Rene-CityMaaS.io: So there was obviously mutations upon the quality of data in terms of the input and output and the quality, the models to be able to provide that accuracies and you know the right level of predictions for quite an impact.

135
00:21:43.320 --> 00:21:49.890
Rene-CityMaaS.io: So we continuously improving that as I mentioned before, or form kind of 70% 73% you know

136
00:21:50.760 --> 00:22:06.450
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Dangerous to be you know as as close to 100% as possible, but nobody can predict certainly even including crowdsource data, right, so the quality of crowd sourced data come like it's not also 100% reliable because

137
00:22:08.910 --> 00:22:16.890
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Because one could report something with lower credibility of profile. If you don't mean there are, you know, multiple kind of

138
00:22:18.360 --> 00:22:35.610
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Elements of the accuracies across all states that can be used. So if you if you kind of sizing up the elements across all states and you know the positive side as well as as past negative side of things to accuracy timeliness, the kind of consistency of the data from the crowds.

139
00:22:36.630 --> 00:22:43.560
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Etc. Compared to kind of machine learning prediction data. So we have reports the data that we have.

140
00:22:45.060 --> 00:23:04.770
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Our models based on all the data has been confirmed previously and obviously do is that elements of the data that I think a lot of businesses and and technology companies may not pay attention to is the dynamic dynamism of the data is that the timing is the data.

141
00:23:06.450 --> 00:23:09.570
Rene-CityMaaS.io: So, you know, today, if the left is our service.

142
00:23:10.680 --> 00:23:24.930
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Is tomorrow. Let's have a service on the station. Now it today delivers the is working fine. The station is tomorrow and a service is that that level of, you know, accuracy and quality of data as we after so

143
00:23:25.950 --> 00:23:38.940
Rene-CityMaaS.io: From you know from kind of travel data perspective in London, we can live rely on Transport for London to to provide us this data so that we can disseminate this data and the blue time manner as soon as they say.

144
00:23:39.750 --> 00:23:45.930
Rene-CityMaaS.io: No, the lifting in ensuring process. I was out of service, then that will be in our platform.

145
00:23:47.010 --> 00:23:51.390
Rene-CityMaaS.io: And if, as soon as they say the living in turn causes back and service, there will be a powerful

146
00:23:52.620 --> 00:23:59.190
Rene-CityMaaS.io: So this is specific platform. It is a platform, enabling that kind of real time information where we can get our hands on.

147
00:23:59.610 --> 00:24:03.270
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Will love to get a whole worlds like information like that, just to

148
00:24:03.570 --> 00:24:11.850
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Put up, up, up. And by the way, our platform is completely free and either completely free for any users to use and people with disabilities or the carriers and families want to use it.

149
00:24:12.150 --> 00:24:26.760
Rene-CityMaaS.io: To plan their journey or to find out information right so it's something that we find it's very important for up in most to starting off the system as vision, then turned at this provide that level quality data.

150
00:24:28.560 --> 00:24:29.850
Rene-CityMaaS.io: timeliness of the data.

151
00:24:31.380 --> 00:24:32.040
Rene-CityMaaS.io: And

152
00:24:33.150 --> 00:24:39.360
Rene-CityMaaS.io: And in the way that they can consume easily using our assist plugin on our platform.

153
00:24:39.960 --> 00:24:56.970
Debra Ruh: So, Renee. I, I understand. And I applaud that. It's for free. But how, how are y'all making money because you have to make money to stay in business. So if the app and the information for the end user is free. How do you, is it a sustainable business for you guys.

154
00:24:57.180 --> 00:25:10.500
Rene-CityMaaS.io: That is really, really key thing to to to to tackle and and address and we are purpose driven company we're profit making company but purpose. Purpose Driven and what that means that we, our vision.

155
00:25:11.580 --> 00:25:22.050
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Is to be able to have this company going off on like, you know, forever, we can to continue doing what we're doing. So we need to make a sustainable business and

156
00:25:22.710 --> 00:25:30.390
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Our, our business models around providing those states are for people for businesses or websites.

157
00:25:31.290 --> 00:25:38.730
Rene-CityMaaS.io: To integrate into de into into their websites, for example, right, like access chat and if you have about us. If you have a location.

158
00:25:39.360 --> 00:25:47.070
Rene-CityMaaS.io: By or any any businesses that have locations or or websites have about us page where they can show where the business is going

159
00:25:47.370 --> 00:26:01.920
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Or whether even customers if they are customer facing organizations like supermarkets or hotels or restaurants and bars right we can provide that data streaming into the page and replace the map on their about page with our platform.

160
00:26:03.270 --> 00:26:12.030
Rene-CityMaaS.io: So that their businesses wanted once they go on their path toward their businesses grow and build business website, they can find out a nearby accessibility conditions.

161
00:26:12.360 --> 00:26:19.890
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Right. So, for example, does a permit in customers want to stay in their permission in a tab in London somehow in bombing example.

162
00:26:20.820 --> 00:26:27.510
Rene-CityMaaS.io: They be able to go like premiering websites they said they check out the, you know, I wouldn't say in this coming in Romania.

163
00:26:28.410 --> 00:26:37.710
Rene-CityMaaS.io: They, they will be able to see on the Premier League plumbing website our platform on their map integrations in the in the websites.

164
00:26:38.100 --> 00:26:55.230
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Saying, oh, this is what I'm saying the nearby restaurants here it's wheelchair accessible so i can i think imma die now into that mucho accessible restaurants and cafes or shops, I want to go to all places of interest or leisure leisure parks that I want to go and visit

165
00:26:56.310 --> 00:26:56.970
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Right, so

166
00:26:57.630 --> 00:26:58.290
So that's

167
00:26:59.370 --> 00:27:01.950
Debra Ruh: Good. How does that bring money and for you guys.

168
00:27:02.400 --> 00:27:03.150
Rene-CityMaaS.io: So does it take

169
00:27:03.510 --> 00:27:04.590
Debra Ruh: For city mass

170
00:27:05.430 --> 00:27:18.600
Rene-CityMaaS.io: So the business will be paying a monthly subscription to 60 miles to provide the information and data depends on you know how many users. They have in some system in the data. What we're providing as well. So that will

171
00:27:19.380 --> 00:27:26.820
Rene-CityMaaS.io: So we will call them not customers and we call them partners in terms of, you know, helping them to achieve that.

172
00:27:29.160 --> 00:27:42.510
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Inclusion. If you like for the business, you know, if there were saying that our, our hotel is actually accessible we you know we can see the all aspects of it, it's not it's not accessible, you know, rooms.

173
00:27:44.550 --> 00:27:45.270
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Because he

174
00:27:46.800 --> 00:28:00.030
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Would your users or disabled people visit hotel, not just to stay in a hotel. They, they play no tell for night and they doing things we live our lives right so it's about that.

175
00:28:01.560 --> 00:28:02.610
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Inclusions

176
00:28:03.240 --> 00:28:04.290
Antonio Santos: And Renee, let me

177
00:28:04.650 --> 00:28:10.230
Antonio Santos: Just add something interesting right on that point that you were saying booking the hotel. I was talking with

178
00:28:11.220 --> 00:28:26.730
Antonio Santos: A couple a few months ago here in Ireland and who were one of the members of the family of visibility and do the OH when I booked my holidays. I always go to the same place.

179
00:28:27.240 --> 00:28:36.570
Antonio Santos: Because I know it's accessible. So I know that I'm going to spend my money, I'm going to have a good experience. I'm not going to take any risk.

180
00:28:36.900 --> 00:28:50.610
Antonio Santos: Because otherwise I might go into a place that says accessible. And then I reached there and it's not really doesn't do that. My expectations, who you are trying to address precisely precisely that.

181
00:28:51.990 --> 00:29:05.100
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Exactly. So, you know, to, to really get that information as well to dress up problem not only to provide this information but provide us information that users can since you

182
00:29:06.660 --> 00:29:17.490
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Easily right on their websites. So we are we are actually launching it accessible taxis on our platform as well. So when people actually on our, on our platform.

183
00:29:17.850 --> 00:29:26.160
Rene-CityMaaS.io: And and they discovered the accessible places that they can go and see that suitable for their needs, they're able to access to the taxi on our platform.

184
00:29:27.600 --> 00:29:35.010
Rene-CityMaaS.io: To, to get them that if they need you. We obviously have navigation so public sector, public transportation is currently on. And in that moment.

185
00:29:35.310 --> 00:29:40.650
Rene-CityMaaS.io: But you know there are options if they would like to do that. They can do that. So in a way that what

186
00:29:41.370 --> 00:29:48.150
Rene-CityMaaS.io: You know what city Miles is core value proposition is to improve accessible living by providing personalized

187
00:29:48.600 --> 00:29:55.290
Rene-CityMaaS.io: You know products and services that not only information. So we're providing I was accessible, where should you know it's

188
00:29:55.740 --> 00:30:04.740
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Good to go. But also, how can we get you there. How can we, you know, the applications of data streaming applications of what city masters technologies.

189
00:30:05.250 --> 00:30:17.370
Rene-CityMaaS.io: is immense. I still really feel quite strongly about us, because you can improve the mobility side of things. You can also improve access for housing, for example.

190
00:30:18.330 --> 00:30:27.720
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Right now our platform, are they the streaming services can be implemented into zoopla to remove or to any kind of property aggregators

191
00:30:29.070 --> 00:30:39.330
Rene-CityMaaS.io: To display that property. They said, trying to sell trying to rent their surrounding accessibility conditions because anybody want to move houses or

192
00:30:40.350 --> 00:30:49.470
Rene-CityMaaS.io: It's a, it's a change of lifestyle, it's a it's a huge decision and you got to know not only, you know, what is the black and white house look like

193
00:30:49.950 --> 00:30:58.230
Rene-CityMaaS.io: You know how big is a bedroom bedroom bathroom is but also what about a surrounding area. You know, for for parents that we talked about schools right

194
00:30:58.530 --> 00:31:03.090
Rene-CityMaaS.io: For parents who is talking about what's a good school before before for people with disabilities as well.

195
00:31:03.510 --> 00:31:14.850
Rene-CityMaaS.io: You talked about was, you know, Can I actually go to a nearby restaurants without too much hassle. Can I get to my nearby GPS go, you know, health, health care providers.

196
00:31:15.360 --> 00:31:34.620
Rene-CityMaaS.io: That's accessible to me. Can I, you know, can I go to the grocery store next straight that it's accessible to me. It's this kind of level of accessibility information will help people for for access for houses as well for Wednesday market for example.

197
00:31:35.580 --> 00:31:36.000
Debra Ruh: Which is

198
00:31:36.900 --> 00:31:44.760
Debra Ruh: Excellent point. Because, you know, whenever you are looking for an accessible house. I know I had a friend of mine that was looking for an accessible.

199
00:31:45.780 --> 00:31:49.050
Debra Ruh: Apartment townhouse house in Washington, DC.

200
00:31:49.350 --> 00:31:50.220
Debra Ruh: And she

201
00:31:50.400 --> 00:31:57.210
Debra Ruh: She went to 68 different ones. And a lot of them said they were Ada Americans with Disabilities Act.

202
00:31:57.540 --> 00:32:11.220
Debra Ruh: Compliant and that she would get there and they would she would say, Okay, you said that you were a DA compliant a bathroom and they said yes, we had there's a bathroom on the second floor that's fully accessible and she's like bright but

203
00:32:12.000 --> 00:32:20.250
Debra Ruh: Chair. So how do I get to the second floor and the real estate agent said, wow, I never really thought about that. Yeah, I know.

204
00:32:20.730 --> 00:32:31.950
Debra Ruh: So it's like, sometimes you know it and she still has not been able to find an accessible place in the in Washington, DC, which is the capital of the United States.

205
00:32:32.340 --> 00:32:33.270
Debra Ruh: is horrible.

206
00:32:33.330 --> 00:32:46.800
Debra Ruh: It's horrible. So I love that aspect of what you're doing. I think that more and more what city monsters doing we're all going to learn from and it. We talked about smart cities, smart homes and smart communities.

207
00:32:47.310 --> 00:32:55.800
Debra Ruh: But to really make them accessible to all. You got to dig into it like they're doing it city so I know we're out of time, and I

208
00:32:56.280 --> 00:33:01.560
Debra Ruh: You know, I want to make sure that I give you the final word. But before we do that, Renee.

209
00:33:02.490 --> 00:33:13.380
Debra Ruh: We want to thank our supporters. We are just so so thankful to Barclays access to micro link my clear text. They are such wonderful partners and so supportive

210
00:33:13.740 --> 00:33:23.400
Debra Ruh: Of all of the community of people with disabilities and access chat. We're very, very grateful to them, but I want to make sure before we close the you they will give you the last

211
00:33:23.910 --> 00:33:38.100
Debra Ruh: Word, but at the same time, will you let the audience know what your website is they're going to find out what your Twitter account is when we do the tweet chat next Tuesday. But let's make sure people know how to, you know, find out more about city mass

212
00:33:38.670 --> 00:33:46.920
Rene-CityMaaS.io: So thank you, thank you so much for having me. I really enjoyed this discussion, because it's very in depth and very close to what we're doing and close to my heart and

213
00:33:47.730 --> 00:33:55.470
Rene-CityMaaS.io: If you want to find out a bit more about what city masters as an overall umbrella support system as products and services can help you in your family's

214
00:33:55.770 --> 00:34:18.330
Rene-CityMaaS.io: You can go and check it out in city mass.io so city CIT why am a s.io that's our main website but if you'd like to find out the accessibility informations in your local area where you're going to please go to demo dot city master. I also this the co dot city mass.io and you will find

215
00:34:19.620 --> 00:34:31.440
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Level services so bad across the globe and and feel free to check out our assist plugins as well. If you require some sort of adjustment change around with our platform itself.

216
00:34:32.490 --> 00:34:32.730
Debra Ruh: Yeah.

217
00:34:32.760 --> 00:34:34.050
Rene-CityMaaS.io: Congratulate so much. It's

218
00:34:34.050 --> 00:34:37.590
Debra Ruh: Very powerful work. So we really, really appreciate what you're doing.

219
00:34:38.010 --> 00:34:38.670
